Robin Black is up on the pulpit preaching to the perverted.
HE of the vainglorious tats and piercing. HE of the silver
forked-tongue and self-proclaimed diminutive Rock God stature.
HE has been called to bring the news. To put the "roll"
back into rock.
Robin Black and the Intergalactic Rock Stars, once known
as the worst band in Canada, if not the known universe, savaged
by the industry, massacred by the press, well boys and girls
the jokes on you. It's time to eat crow kiddies 'cause their
first full length release is about to redefine your whole
landscape. The new album PLANET: FAME, produced by GGGarth
(Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kittie)
with the able assistance of the mercurial Moe Berg (Pursuit
of Happiness). Songs of a warped disenfranchised generation
whose time has finally come. Moms and dads everywhere will
soon be rushing out to burn their kids CD's featuring 'TV
Trash', 'More Effeminate Than You', 'Some Of You Boys (And
Most Of You Girls)' and the first single and video 'So Sick
Of You'.
R.F.B. & the I.R.S. - live and in living color, the old
fashioned way. Back and forth across the country they have
gone barnstorming in a van loaded to the hilt with pyro. Bringing
an arena sized spectacle of theatrics where only the shoe
gazers had gone before. Since the moment of their inception,
the band has earned it on the road: killing, drinking, screwing
and rocking their way from one end of Canada to the other.
Their fanatical following flock to the shows like the faithful
to a revival meeting and every night is Halloween if HE is
playing. From the flame-swallowing onstage bartender to the
searing heat of the pyrotechnics to the sheer rock 'n roll
orgy of energy that constant touring has created in the band,
live Robin Black is rock 'n roll the way it was suppose to
be.
According to Robin "Fucking" Black....
"....We're a bunch of arrogant pricks who think we've
got the best band going, and I think we're right..... In a
country like Canada, if there's anybody else like-minded in
the country, you're probably gonna know them, you know? There
aren't that many guys who have a ferocious rock and roll attitude
and also have the same sort of lifestyle and ideas as the
five of us, and we sort of found each other."
