Delayed
Issue
Sorry for the big delay in getting the next issue up. Things
have been very busy for me. But I have a ton of content that
I am working on. Things to look forward to in the nest issue,
which should be up in a couple weeks, are:
Videos:
Riff Randells, The Organ, The Dirtmitts, Crystal Pistol, S.T.R.E.E.T.S.,
The Rumours, Retrograde @ Snowjam and more!
Editorials:
Andy Scheffler hits the road with Todd Kerns. She also reviews
Bright Eyes, Jack Johnson, Andrew W. K. and Danko Jones, and
of course has tons of Photos!
Be sure to check back soon because you don't want to miss
the upcoming "Issue 03 - Chicks That Rock!"

The Power of Suggestive
Is the music industry too suggestive with sexuality. With
artists like Brittany Spears preaching "sexy" to
12 year olds does the call of "pay attention to me"
overshadow the music? And bands like ShoCore using 'strippers'
in their shows, does it add to the live performance or cheapen
it? Or maybe sexuality and music just go hand in hand - it's
always been that way. Would you rather Brittany was ugly and
dressed lame...would she be anywhere if she was?

You've probably
seen the Vein Poll on the Homepage. It changes randomly so you
should get a different question each time you visit www.thevein.com.
Vote as many times as you want! If you have a good idea for
a poll question, let me know!

Added
a huge list of new links on the Links
page. Thanks to some friends the list of Vancouver Bands is
getting huge. If you're looking for local talent this is the
place to look! I've also included a few out of town bands that
are featured on this site and there are even more links on the
way, so keep checking back.
