Indie music is what some may refer to as “alternative”. It’s something that no one can full place in any other category of music. In the last ten years, more and more independent bands have been classified as indie and have become increasingly popular.
The most recognized of these bands is Beirut. To date the band has recorded two successful albums and the members are currently working on a third set of songs.
The Pavement and Dr. Dog are the next two that come to mind. These bands also have released successful albums and singles.
